Koshien Ballpark / Hamada – Hamako, Hamada High School, was defeated by Shimonoseki Kokusai High School (Yamaguchi) at the Koshien tournament, one of the most prestigious Japanese high school sports events. The score was 3-9.
Although Hamada players aggressively tried to advance to the Quarterfinal, their dream could not come true.
If Hamako had won the game, the high school could have tied their senior record, marking Shimane’s best record.
